My brakes do not release immediately on my 2001 Rodeo. It feels like the brakes are "sticking" when I begin to accelerate immediately after braking, and then they finally feel them let go. It seems to be getting worse. My ABS light comes on intermittently, but not always on when the sticking occurs. The sticking occurs almost every time I release the brakes.
You need to find out if it`s just one brake that`s sticking on or if it`s the pair diagonally connected to each other or if it`s all four. If it`s just one, it`ll be the cylinder or associated components to that one brake or a crushed pipe. If it`s two diagonally opposed to each other, it could be the brake compensator located on or near the rear axle (May not have one due to having ABS) or the master cylinder to that circuit or a crushed pipe. If it`s all of them, it can only be the master cylinder/booster sticking pedal or again a crushed pipe. Ian
The front brake calipers should be replaced with a new set of brake pads. Also bleed out the old brake fluid.
