OBD-II Code P0758 is defined as a Shift Solenoid B Electrical
The purpose of the automatic transmission is to match the engine's optimum power and torque characteristics to the driver's desired rate of acceleration and speed by auto-selecting different gear ratios or 'speeds' to power the wheels. Shift solenoid B enables the transmission to shift from 2nd gear to 3rd gear. It does this by re-directing the flow of the transmission fluid which changes the position of the shift valves in the valve body.
When the code P0758 is set in the Powertrain Computer, it means that the Powertrain Computer or PCM is not seeing the specified rpm change that occurs during a shift from 2nd gear to 3rd gear. It's also not seeing the correct increase in road speed from the vehicle speed sensor.

The solenoids are located in the transmission. There is one for the 1-2 shift point, one for the 2-3 shift point, and one for the 3-4 shift point. You have to drop the transmission pan to access them.

The problem is not the sensor but most likely the blue wire has an open circuit between the sensor and the computer aka the pcm ..You are going to have to look real close at the sensor end of the harness it may be a broken wire right inside the insulation , hard to find good luck pcm connector c1 is where the other end of the blue wire will end up ..there is nothing between the computer and the sensor. just wire an ohmmeter and some patience im sure you will find it...hope this info helps..

What could be done is to see if the linkages of the gear levers have a play which make it move out of aligment and makes the final motion to push the lever difficult . If so there is a possibility that the nylon bushes are worn out and replacing them will make the linkages tighter and shift better to have the movement for the gearr box.
the second problem can be the gear box itself where in there is a mechanical jamming within the notch selectors that make is tight and not move . check if an extra help move it , if so the gear box has to be removed and reset.
