SOURCE: car dies when stopping or slowing down, hesitates on acceleration

check for a vacuum leak, you could possibly hear a whistle under the hood,or you can spray starter fluid near the intake manifold where the suspect leak could be and if the engine accelerates it has an vacuum leak, try the simple things first, can also be a clogged PCV valve,it is in the valve cover somewhere and it will have a rather large rubber hose going to the intake manifold

You most likely have no injector pulse, this is caused by a bad cam sensor,or pick up coil,or crankshaft sensor.

Engine died while driving, no spark, replaced coil, now starts, idles, runs well at low rpm, but misfires when accelerating. No check engine costs thrown. What should I check next.

Change your ignition module. The distributor is a weak point of the Honda, I will always change out the whole thing than just try the coil.

1975 Datsun (ie. mechanical fuel pump). Carburettor, electrics (inc. battery all good) fuel strainer all good. On cold start engine needs to be cranked several times. Warm start is invariably immediate. ...

Carburated vehicles ether have an automatic choke, or the very old ones, a hand choke. Yours has an automatic choke. The starting problem likely is a problem with the choke. The problem is almost certainly not the fuel pump.To set the automatic choke, push the accelerator to the floor, and RELEASE. Then start the engine just like you would a fuel injected vehicle. If this doesn't solve the problem, then the automatic choke needs to be repaired.

MY 1994 HONDA ACCORD WONT START THE D4 LIGHT COMES ON IVE CHANGED THE MAIN RELAY SWITCH,AND THE FUEL PUMP.BUT I STILL CANT HEAR THE FUEL PUMP TURN ON. WHY?

Check to see if you have spark to your spark plugs. On hondas if you have no spark it wont let the fuel pump get power. This is controlled by a small part in the distributor called the ignitor by honda and ignition module in aftermarket terms. when this part goes bad you wont have spark or fuel. it is a pretty expensive part. sometimes its cheaper to get a used distributor at the junk yard and change the whole thing. also make sure your timing belt hasnt snapped cause if it did your distributor wont turn and you will get the same results. take the distributor cap off and check and see if the rotor spins while someone is cranking the engine. if it doesnt turn your timing belt is broke or your camshaft broke in half. broken camshafts are a common problem with 95 accords. If none of this helps you may have a wiring problem or even your cars computer may have taken a dump

1992 Honda Accord LX won't start - ignition problems

I would remove the distributor cap and crank the engine over . If the rotor does not turn , then you need to replace the timing belt. The timing belt needs to be replaced every 60 K. If the rotor turns then make sure you have spark to a spark plug. Run a compression test on each cylinder. The basics to run are compression, spark, fuel and timing.

2.2 no spark, but getting fuel.

You need to remove the upper timing belt cover and make sure that your timing belt didn't jump. All it takes is the belt to jump one tooth on the sprocket to create this problem. One tooth equals 17 degrees of timing. Make sure that you can hear the fuel pump come on as well when the key is in the "on" position.
