1999 CADILLAC DEVILLE How many ecm's or modules are on this model. Should I disconnect them one by one to see which one stops the fuse from blowing, look at something else first?

1999 cadillac deville, Battery was shorted out a month prior to this problem occuring, then theft system problem displays on dash, engine will crank but not fire both the ac comp and pcm fuse are blown and when I just replace pcm fuse it will pop immediately when ign on. it had a dozen or more of error codes when checked with the on board system. These codes after clearing them out return immediately after the ign is turned on

The other modules on the vehicle have nothing to do with the PCM / ECM fuse blowing . Looking at a electrical distribution diagram to see what all the PCM/ECM fuse power's up an issolate all the thing's one at a time till the fuse doesn't blow any more . Suggest you check out a few video's on youtube on how to find a electrical short . Your best bet mite be to take it to a qualified repair shop that has the knowledge an testing equipment to diagnose this problem . Because it doesn't sound like you know much about it . All the other modules on the vehicle have their own fuse . Something the PCM/ECM power's is causing the fuse to blow . What fuse is blowing ? You don't say ? What code's did you pull an what kind of code reader did you use .

I just had this same problem with a '96 . do you have a vats key in your '94? you need to bypass the VATS system. read some of the blogs on this site and it will tell you how to do it. I fixed mine with a $2 resistor from radio shack.

SOURCE: ECM BATT fuse keeps blowing

That fuse provides power for the fuel pump. Either your fuel pump is blowing the fuse or there is a shorted wire.

SOURCE: Check engine light on, 1997 cadillac Deville.PCM codes

PO135 is oxygen sensor Bank1 sensor1. PO404 is EGR.
personally, I'd pull EGR off, clean pintle good with throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner, re-install, erase codes & try it for a while & see if it code(s) come back.

Airconditioner will not work

Defective compressor clutch, or ground fault in the ac switch circuit.
Disconnect lead to compressor from ac switch.
Run a fused line from the battery to the compressor, if it works without blowing the fuse, check for fault in the AC switch circuit.

Computer module malfunction everything digital blinks on and off blows air and I cant stop it

Try disconnecting the battery for approximately 30 minutes and it may reset. If not, luckily these model are pretty easy to come by in the junk yards, and pretty cheap, so i would grab a new computer and plug it in.
