Have a 2009 limited editon mk1 citi golf ,aircon goes on works for 5min then it switches of and extreme hot air comes through,what could be the problem?

I had the same problem (during Summer!!) - If you take the Fan/A.C/Temp Control panel off, you'll probably find the plastic bracket that the control cable mounts to, is broken. I just used 3 zip-ties to hold everything in place. 30 minutes work, & 50c parts!! No problems since.

SOURCE: Citi Golf Aircon and Wipers not working.

Check under the dash on the drivers side for two relays,one controls wipers and blower fan,probably corroded.good luck

if manual gearbox - 2,2 L

SOURCE: where is the wiper relay located in mk1 2004

Hi, it is in the relay box above the fuses on the right hand side under the steering. Should be marked 66 or 99.
