I have a 98 Concorde. When turning slowly, a loud, intermittent squeak occurs. It seems to disappear when speeding up.
When you turn your steering wheel this forces the power steering rack to push fluid through its pistons and to do that the power steering pump has to provide the pressure to do it. The power steering pump is run by either a V belt or a serpentine belt on your engine and over time these belts stretch and become worn and smooth and when you have a load placed on a particular pump the pulley can slip on the belt creating a squealing sound.
It maybe the brake pads are getting thin and the squeaker is rubbing on the rotor.
have the brakes checked at a free brake inspection house.
thank you
