Car won't start. Cranks fine, but no fire.

My car has always run great until after driving 165 miles home, I pulled it into my garage and left it overnight. The next morning tried to start with absolutely no positive results. It cranks just fine but no starting. I changed the fuel filter and checked the fuel to the injectors which seems to be sufficient, still nothing is happening in the way of starting the engine. Has anyone had this same problem ???? My car is a 1995 Aurora

And do you have spark at the plug wires when it won't start? You need to check to see if you have spark at the plug wires. You can buy a simple tester for under $10.00 at the parts store and it will show you if you are getting spark.

Starting problems

Hello David,
It sounds like by reading the second sentence that your problem began when you filled it up. Are you sure 100% that you put gas in your car and not diesel by accident? That would most certainly cause all your issues. Get a sample of the fuel from the carburetor or fuel line leading to it and verify that it is indeed gas. If it is diesel then you've got to purge /empty it all from the tank to the carb of the diesel fuel! This can be a very messy and possibly dangerous job especially while dealing with gas. Make sure you have lots of ventilation when doing this fuel swap if it applies. Good Luck!

My 2003 chevy malibu cranks but wont start. battery is good and altenator is good

To clarify - - if the engine cranks the battery and starter are ok.
The alternator does not come into play until the engine is running.
If it cranks but won't start, you have to figure out if you are missing fuel to the injectors or spark to the plugs to proceed.
A mechanic would check that and if there are any trouble codes stored in the computer.

Starting in damp weather 1993 240 wagon, auto/od, 235k miles

perhaps you need a new cap and roter a new spark plug wire set. they don;t like moisture. also check to see if you have any broken or leaking vacuum hoses. the worse case senerio would be that your head gasket is leaking--at cold temps a little antifreeze will enter until everything warms up and it seals shut due to metal expanding. but since you say it's cold weather only--this probably wou;dn't be the case. good luck.
