I have and ETAC problem with constant hot air being circulated. I performed the self test with 025 and 051 codes being high-lighted. So it's either the blend door and/or the solar radiation sensor. I need to test the sensor before trying to replace the door. Where is the sensor physically located and how do I get to it?

The DPFE is located near the EGR valve, it has 2 very thick silicone rubber hoses connected to it that come off the exhaust. It is rectangular and about 1/2 the size of a pack of smokes

it is located on top of the engine right below the air inlet tube at the base of the intake it is a black sensor on top of a silver housing where the distributor would normally be

What are the codes? First of all check for any lean conditions such as a vacuum leak for example. If you cannot come up with anything causing a lean condition then you may have a short in your wiring or a possible bad ECU.

Should be a bubble on dashboard in center close to windshield.I would think your blend door not closing all the way.Check for vacuum at heater valve under hood also.
Thank you. I read that the dash needs to be removed to access the blend door to replace, is that true? I took the glove box out and reached valve to see if it was operating and i felt it move. Didn’t know what else to do so I put the glove box back and now it works. Boy I would hate to have to remove that dash!
