SOURCE: how do i changs axle shaft on a 2001 toyota echo?

To remove the axle, losen axle nut with tire on the ground if possable, much easier without air tools. Disconnect strut at top of spindle, outter tie rod, and lower balljoint. Using a prybar pop axle out of transaxle. Some of these steps may be alittle different for your vehicle, these are general directions. If you are compitent enough to do this job then these steps will get you through it. If these steps confuse you pay someone else to do it.

SOURCE: I changed my car battery, now my 2008 Nissan Altima key fob won't work

There is a special procedure involved in keying your fob to your car once the battery has been changed. You must lock and open the door with your key. Turn the ignition to "on"(not start) then push the fob's open and close button, then shut off ignition. This procedure is done everything the key battery is changed. Hope this can help you!

On my 2004 mercury mountaineer if anyone knows what size socket fits the rear axle nut let me know I have been told a 36 mm but it seems like it's a little too big for the nut

36mm is the consensus of opinion, but in reality, it is the socket that 'FITS'! Most socket sets come in metric and imperial, you use that one that is the best fit.
