Hi Tammy Saulsberry, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?
for example is there adequate fuel and is it getting to the carburetor. Are the spark plugs firing? Does the engine turn over when you try to start it?

SOURCE: changed spark plugs and wires now car wont start

I know this might be obvious but the obvious is often the problem. Did you replace the coil wire that goes from your coil to the distributor cap? Also, double check to be sure that your wires are connected in the correct order. A little more clarification might help. Does it turn over? Does it just click? When you turn the ignition key then let off does the car clunk or make a wheezing sound?

Let me also say that on my 97 pathfinder it ran good up until i replaced the water pump. then it wouldnt start. so i changed the spark plug wires and plugs. same thing...wants to start just wont fire up....

My first thought was the timing belt was not in time since you have to remove the belt to get to the pump.
The crank sensor is near the flywheel so it should not have been touched.
But timing should not affect the spark coming out of the coil.
It could be a problem with the resistor for the coil or something with the computer.
Did you also replace the cap and rotor when you changed the distributor ? Is the spark weak coming out of the coil ?
You may have to get a used shop manual from Ebay to get the test procedures and wiring diagram for the ignition system.

My daughers 1999 altima ran out of gas, we put gas in it, & it still wont start, we replaced the rotor cap & spark plugs, it getting plenty of fuel but still wont start, what can it be?

Hello you will need to replace the spark plugs you quoted it is getting lots of gas so your spark plugs are wet.disconnect your battery while your replacing your spark plugs once finished replacing the spark plugs reconnect the battery now try to start it should start up.

1996 volkswagen golf has no spark,it is pulling a po341 code.i have replaced ignition coil, crank sensor ,sparkplug wires and rotor button, distibutor cap and still no fire to the plugs, timing is right on...

Can sensor is bad according to the code, but still could be the crankshaft senor,it is one or the other,my guess, and it is just a guess,it is the crankshaft sensor.

Im not getting spark to my spark plugs

Remove the distributor cap, so that the rotor is visible. Have an assistant turn the ignition to crank the engine over. If the rotor does not turn when the engine is cranking, then you need a timing belt or chain.

If the rotor does turn, then replace the coil.

What about battery and alternator (serpentine belt).

Ignition coil??

Its the distributor that needs to be replaced. Its probably the coil alone that bad but the coil is built into the distributor, so you will have to replace as one unit. Make sure when replacing the distributor you set the car in base timing thats the rotor head tointed to cylinder #1 and number on piston on TDC(topdead center)before you remove distributor shaft then repalce in the same position and your problem should be solved. Good Luck
