If the engine seems to heat normal with the interior heat lagging, there is a flow problem for the hot water. If the engine stays cold a long time, its the thermostat. Interior heaters work several ways. Some adjust the air ducts across the heater core. Others adjust the water flow to the heater core without the ducts doing much. A third type do both.

The activation devices can be simple mechanical cable, electric, or vacuum powered. These control water flow or duct air routing. There are some videos if you search the Web for your year and make of car. Even thermostat replacement is shown.

SOURCE: windows have stopped working

First check the fuses if you have not done so. You will need to remove the door panel to get to the driver side window switch, the power for all of the windows enters through the driver side switch. Use a multi meter to determine if power is reaching the switch, if it is not, run a temporary wire from the fuse panel to the switch and see if that will work the windows. If it now works you know the problem is a bad wire. If you are getting power to the switch but not power out the other side you know the switch is bad and must be replaced.

SOURCE: ford 2002 taurus

look on the back of the sleeve the serpentine belt came in...it should have multiple diagrams showing the setup you just have to choose the one for your engine. to replace unbolt the back of the alternator remove the belt and work backwards to install belt.

you have to pull on the belt to get give from the tensioner unless you have the required tool... it makes it A LOT easier but nothing a little elbow grease cannot handle

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus wagon and was wondering how you tell if it's a ohv or ohc

Ohc has oil fill on the left above cam sprocket and plugs down the middle of the head.

Where's the heater control valve on a 2002 Ford Taurus wagon and

There isn't a valve in the heater hoses, the temp of the heater inside the car is controlled by a door inside the heater box. It opens and closes by an actuator controlled by the heater temp selector.

Seems like the heater core in the dash is clogged. Have you been getting any water on the passenger front floor board? That's an indication the heater core is broke.

I have a 2002 ford taurus and the heater isnt working all that well and i was wondering what things i should check

The heater core is under the dash.
If the engine is reaching normal temp, and both heater hoses are hot, you may have a problem with a blend door under the dash.
