SOURCE: 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee keeps flashing "Service 4WD switch".

You will probably find the oil level in the exchange box is low and the sensor is activating.

I can't get the vehicle information center in my 96 Jeep grand Cherokee to work no lights, warning, nothing, can't locate exact fuse but all looks good?

I would start with the Fuse Box under the hood. Start by pulling the Fuse's 1 at a TIME!! I have done it befor time & time agean. It's probley by the Battery. It's a black box that has " Main Fuse " or something alone that line. There just like the Fuses under the Dash, BUT BIGGER! They can be hard to tell if they blew. I have done it so, much that I know. If it's not that I would check the Fuse Box in the Dash. Jerry Dunn

Jeep grand cherokee alarm system

The 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Anti-Theft System is equipped with Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS). VTSS system monitors vehicle doors, hood, liftgate and ignition. If an attempt is made to enter or operate vehicle without proper disarming of system, vehicle horn will sound, headlights, taillights and parking lights will flash, and engine will be prevented from running.

The following wiring diagram and electronics circuit contains detail schematics of The 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Anti-Theft System. Herein you will find interconnection between electronics parts of the system such as body control module, auto headlamp light sensor. VTSS led, driver door module, passenger door module, cylinder lock switch, junction block, power distribution center, and grounding. Herein you will learn also how the Vehicle Theft Security System works, removal, installation, testing and troubleshooting procedures.

Try HERE and also, remember that here can find the Jeep Grand Cherokee Service Repair Manual.

My 95 grand cherokee says service 4wd switch is this a problem

The 4wd switch is the indicator that tells the VIC (vehicle information center) if you are in 4 low or 4 high. Have it replaced, but first check wiring, that more likely the wiring from the switch to the VIC is damaged.

Also,
you could have a vacuum leak which would enable the transfer case to not recognize that the switch has been activated.

1995 jeep grand cherokee wont start

IF THE FUSE BLOWS IMMEDIATELY, THE VEHICLE HAS A SHORT IN THAT CIRCUIT. CAR WON'T RUN WITH A SHORTED ECM. CHECK THE WIRING FIRST FOR A BARE OR PINCHED WIRE.

95 Grand Cherokee center column data screen resets after shut off

I had the same problem with my 1995 grand cherokee. I had to remove the message center and resolder the connections where the plugs go into the back of it. Not hard to do if you are used to soldering small connections, if not, take it out and bring it to someone who is, like a tv repair shop.
