Common problems with disco 2 year 2000. thanks v8

Hi welcome main problems are the abs valves causing the 3 dash lights (search 3 amigos online) a really badly sited compressor can cause air suspension models to fail giving the bags a slow leak the V8 is a solid engine but can have radiator expansion tank and cap failures
the other issue is electrics windows and door looms are problematic

You will not fix this yourself. You need to get the fault codes read by a professional shop that can identify the cause - most probably a faulty connection, or a failed control unit

2008 R OFFANGE ROVER SPORT DISPLAY SAYS SYSTEM SHUTTING DOWN (HDC FAULT NOT AVAILABLE )HAZARD LIGHT WOULD NOT TURN

HDC relies on the data from the ABS sensors also, so you should check the ABS sensor cables and that the sensors have not been disturbed (the cables run close to the brake wear sensors). I would bet that they have either disturbed or disconnected the ABS sensor or damaged the cable. It could also be a possibility that they disconnected the sensor, ran the vehicle then realized that it was disconnected, but the fault was triggered, and it may be a case of just having to reset the ABS or HDC system to clear the fault. To reset this fault requires Testbook/T4 or a non-oem software/hardware.

Vehicle battery dead. 2006 lr3. replaced battery good for 2 days, rained tuesday, by tuesday p.m. several error lights occurred. transmission failure, hdc fault sys not avail, amber brake light stays on...

think your battery went dead again and not on it's own accord. I suspect you have charging system problem (alternator/belt issue) For the 2 days that new battery was in, it was running on battery power.
Solution, just start truck - take it to GOOD autoparts store and have them do FREE charging system test for you. Re; all the lights and error messages, that's a normal response to a low voltage/not enough power to run all the accessories and ignition on your rig. I have 2002 Discovery - been there, done that.. hope above helps...
