SOURCE: Replace Fuel Filter on 2006 Chevy Aveo Hatchback

If the fuel filter is mounted inside the fuel tank at the pump it does not need replacing and is a permanent filter. All you have to do it follow the fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine. If the filter is mounted in the fuel line you will find it.

Fuel pump relay

Run fault codes and check for idle speed sensors/MAF/MAP sensors. If the pump was faulty then it would not supply fuel to the manifold. Test it by having a pressure test done on the fuel. manifold

2004 Aveo wont start

sounds like either your fuel pump went out or you have no spark going to your spark plugs check and see if you have spark first if so then open your gas cap with your ear next to the filler tube have someone turn key to run possition you should hear a humming noise for a few seconds if not then your fuel pump went out
