Loud airblowing/whisping noise while accelerating.

Hi, I have an 05 1.3 swift. im not experiencing any problems as of yet but i have noticed recently that when i accelerate and travelling between 40-60mph i can hear what can only be described as air blowing or a loud whispy noise. As soon as i take my foot off it stops.
Not sure if this is normal or not so just wanted to find out if anyone has the same thing.

Im not convinced that is the problem! it only happens when accelerating, if it was window seals surely it would happening all the time. and it sounds more like it comes from the engine area.
Thanks for the input tho :]

No, but i dont seem to notice it as much now. I havnt ever had any problems so i assume its just normal engine noise.

The seals around the windows, are where the noise is coming from, and yes, it's normal.

Have a 2006 chrysler 300, 3.5 with loud ticking noise during acceleration, also experiencing loss of power. Replaced both rocker assemblies and performance improved but ticking is still there.

sounds like bad valve seats or seals do you have a oil pressure gauge on your dash.check the pressure.then check your return ports on top of the head thats giving you the problem see if the oil is returning to the oil pan.sometimes the return ports become blocked and the oil stays on top of the head.and see if the oil supply is making up to the head.hope this helps.mark

96 Golf 2.0GTI 8v knocking noise from rear when accelerating

its probably your bump stops. the vw ones are very soft. i bought ford escort (the shape after the xr3) ones and cut them a little down to fit. i think the noise is either your shock touching or the sound of the tire scraping the body of the car. hope this helps.
