I couldn't get everything in one picture.
At the blower motor, the top wire is voltage, the bottom wire is ground. As far as speed control, the blower resistor block and blower control module, control the ground circuit. You can use jumper wire as a redundant ground, for testing. You splice into the black wire with tan tracer at blower motor, if the connector is ok. The other end of jumper, find a metal screw or bolt to metal chassic, close, ground it there. The blower motor should run. At the resistor block, pick a wire color for a lower speed, same thing. At the moment, I'm not sure if faulty blower motor, faulty resistor block, faulty blower comtrol module? Usually if faulty resistor block, one speed won't work and the other speed may work.
I'm just trying to help with testing, I've had good luck with redundant grounds.

please elaborate, does your inside fan still works? does your compressor clutch kicks in?...would you know if you have refrigerant in your system? if you can trace the hose from the compressor to the evaporator, you can see a plastic cap normally blue with a big letter "L" at the top, then it is the low side fitting, you can remove the cap and get a pin and press the pin at the center( be carefull, refrigerant might be present). if there is none, then you have a leak. u lost all of your refrigerant that is why the ac did not work. if you do have a big burst of gas as you press it, then it is not a refrigerant problem,
a lot more to be tackle as you help me diagnose your problem.
tnx

SOURCE: how to replace a blower motor resistor in a 2004 jeep liberty
You have to take the glove box off and it is right behind it, need a #20 Torx to take it replace it. The glove box is the hardest part of the job, I just replaced mine on an 05 Grand Cherokee but it didn't fix it for me, was well worth the $8.60 to try though.

There is a resistor that you can buy from Autozone or equivalent. It is a Fan Speed Control Resistor, and is located behind the glove box. It is simple to remove, the hardest part is disconnecting the wire harness. The part is like 25 bucks, and is sure to fix your problem.
