Hi there, thanl u on ur previous help on my Audi 2.8 AAH engine. I replaced a pickup sensor bt still no spark n I discovered that there's no 12 v from computer box( control module MMS-300 to crank sensor neither to injectors and module bt the computer box has 12 volts coming from ignition I guess. What can cause the computer box not supply the voltage to crank sensor?

Your welcome. I would do more research if i were you. Google it and look up info on some audi forums before you buy a new one. You are most likely not the first person that has had this problem and every car manufacturer is differant. There could be a wire that gets broke or smashed.

Hi Bill I hope u fine, I took th diagnosis co corning the computer box n they the diagnosis shows the PM sensor as the culprit bt surprisingly the sensor is new co The previous diagnosis indicated the same thing that's y we bought replaced in the first place, so we cranked again until the battery was flat n when we d the Battery the car couldn't switch on any more with full battery bt is still cranks the horn is there even the lights. Bt no reading so I checked all fuses are fine. Where can I download the wiring schematic coz I've been trying for almost 6 hours in vain.plz help

SOURCE: I have an audi 500sel

We will star a list of what is good.and what controls spark
1. crank sensor .you done it
2.ignition control module. located on the center of bulkhead, behind intake air hose
3.coils. you tested it.
4.ECM located under passenger side foot well

ECM no you got fuel,so lets leave it out
cranksensor okay you replaced it
ICM ignition control moduel.
no spark you cover everthing. has to be a loose or no contact connection somewhere, you covered it all.you might want to tap on the ecm., or check the fuse for power to junction the ones in the hood area those can blow and not give power to ignition system

Code P0118 on Audi A4 - Related to Ignition Coil Problem?

Hi, the sensor on the engine (right at the rear end of the cylinder head) has two separate outputs. One drives the temperature gauge and the other provides data for the engine control unit. The output for the engine control unit is almost certainly faulty and the sensor will need to be replaced. It isn't an expensive item and's not time consuming to replace (1/2 hr) - so you could ask Audi to do it for you when they replace the ignition coils.
Hope that helps Matt..

A4 Starts ok then engine fades out? 1996 model

Try replacing the engine temp sensor. Temp sensor is telling ECU the engine is hot when its is actually cold. After the 6th attempt there is enough fuel in the cylinders to create a ritch mixture, then it goes.
