Can I start my 2008 Ford touris without key - Taurus Ford Cars & Trucks

Jeff Armer is the Expert Auto electronics Expert on the site, but I found two ways to reset the Security System and Immobilizer.

There is no torque its an adjustment a lock nut.You need to look up valve adjustment this will explain how to adjust valve clearance issues with rocker arms

Probably can't be done if it is late enough to be fitted with a security system. In that case the key will have a coded transponder which the system will recognise and send a signal the the engine management to switch it on.

You either need a correctly coded key or remove the engine ECU and have it decoded.

Could be the key switch, or the starter, or another component.
You would need to check for power at the starter terminals when the key is in the start position.
