You have fuel leakage on the pressurized/engine side of the fuel delivery line or filter at engine has a bad o-ring from being over tightened. Check all with engine running. And you should see a bit of fuel on the ground at the leak point.

SOURCE: 2003 Pontiac Montana antifreeze smell?

Bad News. I recently had the same type of smell ( no leaks or puddles either) coming from my van and had to have the intake manifold gasket replaced due to the Dex-cool issue. It appears GM installed an inadequate/substandard gasket when they built the van. My van only had 65,000 miles on it. There's a Dex-cool settlement you could have applied for but repairs had to be made by May of 2008.

This is the only real complaint I've had with the van.

SOURCE: 2000 Audi s4 has strong smell of gasoline

Pop the hood and check all the fueling lines, then check your gas tank and see if you just spilled some. Then check your exhaust pipes because you are probably running rich. You may need to change your spark plugs, or possibly a mass air flow sensor, or oxygen sensors. you should get either a vagcom to scan it or an OBD-II scanner.

SOURCE: gas odor when at stops sign or parking in garage

I recently had the same problem. It turned out that the fuel regulator on the engine at the left side just above the intake manifold had an intermitent leak. The gas leaking was not always visible so I had the regulator changed and that solved the problem.

What does ECS means ? how to fix? Engine chk, lite is on, it 's a corolla 2006, has 27000 miles, suggest?

ECS likely stands for Engine Control System. If you have the check engine light on, you should have the car scanned for fault codes.

Smell gasoline after turning off the engine. 2006

I had this Problem on my S-10 it was a bad fuel injector, the problem was when i looked for the leak it would evaporate quickly, use a flash light and look at each of your fuel injectors as soon as you turn of the car. If you do it yourself it is an easy fix, mine cost 12 dollars and about an hour to replace.

Bad sounds, bad smells from 94 ford explorer

Sounds like you may have a vacuum line off or ruptured going to the EGR valve. The burning smell is probably the catalytic converter. When the engine runs rich you will get a sulfur smell that smells sort of like rotten eggs.

Smells like gasoline in car when it's in idol

Check entire fuel system for leaks 99% of time wen you smell GAS.... there is a leak. So be very careful. Gasoline leaks can be very dangerous. If you had a tune up lately or changed a fuel filter that can be your problem because they are metal line then can be left loose accidentally. Check all fuel lines from fuel thank towards the engine compartment and you should be able to locate source of the smell. Good Luck and contact if you need more help. Thanks for using FIX YA
