you have something draining the battery, check for any lights that might be staying on,interior light, stop light under the hood light(if any),glove box light trunk light, if you have a multimeter with amp testing capability or an amp meter you can check where the drain is by removing each fuse & put the probes on each side the terminals until you find a drainage, that way you might be able to find out what is draining the power & rectify it......hope this helps......cheers

1999 lincoln navigator battery drain

more than likely you have a wire grounding out somewhere. could be loose terminal or if you have lead terminals the smallest crack in them will drain the battery.

Battery was tested good, but still in the morning it is dead, i check to see if anything is on, lights, radio or anything that might discharge it but nothing. could you help me out?

Check for a good/clean connection on your battery terminals. If they have crud on them, disconnect the terminals & clean everything off with a wire brush & if possible, you can use some baking soda or even a Coke to help get the crud off. Rinse everything off & let it dry a bit (check the water level in the battery too - if the cells dry out, that'll kill it). Hook the connections back up good & tight. Then try to start the car - if that's not it. Get a jump, then go to Auto Zone, O'Reilley's, etc and get the battery & the starter checked. I'm betting it's either a poor connection, bad battery or your starter is going out. Start with your connections - sometimes it's just a bad battery cable/terminal & that's an easy fix.
Also think about getting the alternator checked (Autozone, O'reilly's or even Pep Boys can do that for free). If the alternator is out or going out, it's not charging your battery - that means everything electrical in your car is now trying to run directly off the battery & draining it (it doesn't take long - especially if the lights or A/C is on). If those check out ok, take it into a mechanic & have them run a diagnostic - you may have a relay out. Good Luck.

There is probably a weak diode in the alternator; this will cause the battery to drain slowly and will often not turn on the indicator on the dashboard.
If you want to get your hands dirty, remove the negative battery cable first (always!) Remove the heavy lead from the alternator terminal that goes to the positive terminal of the battery. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
If the car starts mornings, a bad alternator is pretty much confirmed but you can't drive real far with no alternator to charge the battery.
Any chain auto parts store will test your alternator free but I don't know if that is in or out of the car.
BTW, you can buy a digital meter for under $20 many places today and most will have a 10 ampere range that will allow you to check for a current drain of the kind you now have which is probably under the 10 amps.
One final item; recently the courtesy light switch on the passenger side rear door of my wife's Jeep recently decided to not quite reach anymore and the battery was drained twice before I noticed that 'door ajar' light was telling us that in advance. Even an amp or two will drag a battery down given time.

It may be the old ford problem of a shorted starter, an internal starter problem will drain your battery over night. Or check for lights on inside the car, also glove compartment lights or under the hood lights.

Drain the battery

Disconnect the negative battery terminal, using a 12v test light put one end on the battery terminal put the other end on the cable if you have a draw the light will light up, go threw and disconect one fuse at a time until the light goes out, notice the fuse you pull out when the light goes out that the circuit that you have your short or draw in good luck
