Is the check engine light on? If it is, take it to an autoparts store and have them use a scan tool to retrieve any fault code(s) stored in the car's computer. The codes will help narrow down what the problem may be. It could be a faulty throttle position sensor or another problem. To end the speculation, have the fault codes read. Hope this helped and best wishes.
Sorry about that. Maybe it doesn't. Stalling upon acceleration on older model vehicles is sometimes caused by an air intake problem. Check and make sure that the fresh air intake hose is not clogged or damaged. Sometimes I am a knucklehead. Must have been mistaken about the year of your vehicle. My apologies and I hope that you find a resolution to your problem. Best wishes.

I dont believe the check engine light has ever been on; dont know if i even have one haha; I'll get it checked and see what happens, thanks.
No worries; we all make mistakes; I'll let my mechanic (aka: my dad haha) know and see if he can check it out... (the joys of him being a certified mechanic!)
