Hi,
Do you have the Owner's Manual? If so, look in it for the way to deactivate the Alarm when the battery has been disconnected. This is only for the FACTORY Lexus alarm. If yours is non-factory you'll need to 'google' the alarm brand and 'how to turn off'.

i have a 98 lexus gs400 my battery light came on......do i have to replace my alternator?

whether the tell light is on the back side door or beside the door on the main body>?

sets below the intake manifold and takes about 5 hours to replace even if you are handy with cars it is a big job to take on.after doing over 50 or more for an old recall it still takes me about 2 hours to complete.
