The leak could be in the steering rack.

You will need to replace the valve body in the transmission.

Either the pin that connects rod to tranny is broken off, or there is internal transmission problems.

I need to replace the pulley on my 1996 chevy lumina power steering. How do I put it on?
Takes a special puller to remove,install is just a bolt thru the pulley and tighten with a nut,make sure the shaft sticks out of the pulley about 1/16 of an inch,if it's on too far the belt will be niosey. Autozone can rent you the puller for a few bucks.

I have a 1996 Chevy Lumina APV. It has a leak in one of the power steering hose lines. I bought the parts, but have no idea how to install them. Where can I find a diagram of the power steering system?
If you had no idea, I dont know why you bought them????? This isnt a job for you, take it to a shop. Its going to be a few hours of labor.

The airbags that i have removed in chevy steering wheels is easy, there are holes,one on each side of the steering wheel,you push something small and stiff in the hole and pull out ,do one side at a time. It shouldnt matter if the steering wheel is locked .

I changed the water pump thermostat and heater core and still no heat what else can be wrong 1996 chevy lumina car
1)Air trapped in system
2)plugged radiator
3)collapsed heater hoses while engine is running
4) heater control valve
5) blend door motor for hot/cold (VERY COMMON)
