2002 dodge neon po700 and po846 error codes
The P0700 has to do with you transmission shifting, the P0846 has to do with the fluid possibly shifting. Your trans needs checking before serious trouble.
Code p 0700 refers to transmission control system/MIL--malfunction===causes --wiring ---TCM
code p 0846 refers to transmission fluid pressure (TFP) sensor B--range/ performance problem ===causes --wiring --poor condition---TFP switch---ECM/TCM
also refers to TFP switch B--range /performance with the same causes

p0700 is a generic trans. code, so the problem if it is in the trans. would require further trans diag. so i would scan trans specific codes first. but in most cases when a chrysler tells you it is an internal controller fault you can believe it. just make sure which controller it is telling you has a fault!

This code indicates an automatic transmission control problem. The presence of this code means that the transmission control module or TCM has detected a fault and relayed it to the PCM. It could be a TCM related solenoid has failed or is damaged or the TCM itself could be faulty. Best wishes.

Hi! When replacing the plugs and wires on this model be sure there is no oil in spark plug wells. You will notice the oil on the plug wire boot when removing it. If there is any oil on any of the boots the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals will need to be replaced or the misfire code you mentioned will return. Hope this information helps!

the po700 code will be found in the engine controller all it means is there is a code preasent in the trans controller a good scan tool is needed to communicate with trans controller to retrieve the stored codes that specify problem
SOURCE: po700 trans error po732 gear 2 ratio incorrect
dodges do not have a strong transmission, I would be checking salvage yards for a replacement.
