Ello i have a code that is reading on my 2001 Acura TL 3.2 liters last month i was driving down the fwy and my car all of a sudden popped 2 lights on the check engine light and the TCS light so i pulled over got out and my hole underneath of my car and driver wheel was covered in tranmission or oil fluid i dont know exactly which one it is because my fluids are showing good signs so please help if u can
That code is Transmission lock up control system fault.
Low transmission fluid level, Dirty transmission fluid,Faulty torque converter clutch solenoid valve, Torque converter clutch solenoid valve harness is open or shorted,Torque converter clutch solenoid valve circuit poor electrical connection.

P0740 is the torque converter malfunction code. The converter is in between the engine and transmission. The fluid that you are seeing is transmission fluid. It needs to go to a mechanic to narrow it down from there.

I doubt they did anymore damage but i`ll bet that the engine was damaged from the training going out such as valve guides and seals and carbon build up on plugs ETC.
