it maybe that the relay in the alarm module for the starting function has stopped working. your best bet would be an alarm shop where they can test the connection for function. have seen this issue several times. Does the engine turn over at all? if it does then the time for cranking may need to be adjusted.

Hard to say - using the data port to program a remote is unusual, and depending on what device or procedure you used, you may have screwed up the datalinks. You should start by using a code reader to see what trouble codes exist.
sounds like the remote is no good, open it up and look at chip, its a common problem with these older remotes the chip pulls apart from the board, replace the remote.
