Disconnect the battery, wait five minutes and reconnect the battery. When you turn the switch on the CD will eject. You just gave your car a hard reboot. There's nothing wrong with the player and everything returns to normal. 10/31/2019

SOURCE: cd error

I hate to be the bearer of bad news... that error code means that you have a CD that's bad in the 6 disc changer.... If you're handy... you can take your radio out and manually remove the cd's and make sure that the 6 trays are aligned properly and not stuck together. (known issue) However, Lexus/Toyota does NOT repair ANY of their electrical components. They want you to pay for a NEW one at the tune of 800.00 PLUS installation... and they send the old one back to Japan and remove the CD's and mail them to you. (at no extra cost... as the service rep was telling me.. as to benefit feature me on the sale of the replacement unit.) Next be ready for the "Disc Read Error, Check Disc" on your navigation... lol.. it's a 2.10 motor that moves the lens that reads the DVD navigation CD.. and once again .. they don't replace or repair... that's a 4500.00 item plus installation.. SOURCE: CD player Error 3

dear,
I have different experiance with the C.Dplayer ( error 3 ) , there is no need to remove it nor send it to the dealer ,all you have to do when you have `` Error 3 `` is to reset the C.D player , by recycling the power supply ,this can be done by disconnecting the main car battery power supply , you must also keep the battery disconnected for at least one hour . then connect the cables to the batteries ,when you start the C.D player you will hear some clicking sound ,and watch the numbers of the C.D`s in the display you will find all what is inside has been detected by the display .
and your C.D player is back to normal..

i discovered ths by chance , when I had this error in the past ,coincidently I had to replace the battery and after installing the new batteries ,i was suprised to see the player back to normal condition by its self.

SOURCE: 2004 Lexus RX 330 6 pack

The problem may be related to each other. It could be the motor/solenoid that controls the elevator that may have gone bad. Error 4 is a product of the issue. Check for burnt parts like resistors or swollen or leaking parts on the board.

Error 3: Mechanical Malfunction (Replace CD player.)

Error 4: CD Player Overcurrent (Allow CD player to cool and try again.)

SOURCE: 2004 lexus RX330. CD player has 6 cd's in it. Has one cd in it. Will not play or eject. Error 4

Something inside the cd player has broken and can most likely be sent off for repair but I don't know how much that would cost, but a new one can range anywhere from $500-$1,000.

I drive a 2005 lexus es330. My Cd player was making a ticking noise and refused to eject or play my cds. I stuck a few items into the player to maybe unjamm it? Apple of a sudden my car shut down. I tried...

You have tripped the security system in the vehicle. More than likely your Lexus thought someone was trying to steal your stereo & quite likely the vehicle itself. You'll have to contact your Lexus or Toyota dealer and ask them how to correctly reset it. You may have to have it taken in so they can hook there computer up to it and clear the security code. Have u tried disconnecting the car battery positive wire for a few mins and then reconnecting it? Sometimes this will reset CPU. Good Luck!

2007 toyota camry cd player reading error 1

I had the error code no. 1 in my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It has the CD radio unit with JBL system. It will not eject the CD, or play it. I removed the entire radio/CD unit and replaced it with a used excellent unit bought off of ebay for $100, and the replacement works fine. However the replacement is also 7 years old. Therefore I would not be surprised if it failed again. Prior to the error 1 I had intermittent error 3 codes, which had the same effect: no playing of the CD, unable to eject, and unable to insert other CDs. Sometimes the error codes would go away, and the function would be normal. But once it started, I think it was on a downhill path. A new replacement is nearly $2000. Used are about $100 to $200 or more depending on the seller and condition of the unit. Youtube has videos on how to replace the unit which only requires simple tools: it is not difficult but takes about 45 minutes to an hour. If you do it you have to put the car in gear to move the gear shift gate, which requires the car to be on, so you should have the parking brake on for safety. One alternative is to send your unit to a repair company but that might cost more than simply replacing the unit. Good luck!

Lexus 2001 is 200 6 disc stereo error 1 code shows when trying to play cds

Error 1 - "disc is dirty, damaged, or is inserted upside down"

I quote other solution comments:

I've been getting the Err 1 and Err 3 for a while now, my headunit needs replacing but I haven't had chance yet...
I've found that the cold weather makes it worse as the CDs get that cold they are covered in condensation so the CD has trouble reading them..
In my experience when you get an Err 3 it's basically knacked and needs replacing and Err 1's can sometimes be read problems - what's the disk like?
Mine has started giving Err 1's on brand new CD's (not CDRs) so she's probably having trouble focussing....
If the car is less than 5 years old the headunit should be covered under warranty (ie free).

Hope helps.

Cd will not eject cd's

most likely you'll have to remove player and manually eject...even possibly partially disassemble the housing of the player..?

sometimes you can stick something long like a plastic butter knife, knitting needle, or similar with a tiny hook on the end and possibly pry it out..

Player shows error 4 after succesfully playing new CD. will not eject either.

I had an error 4 on my as well, basically the cd would stop playing and the only way to clear the error was to turn off the car and turn it back on! I ended replacing the audio unit.

CD player won't play or eject CDs

I hope you're in the 4 year 50,000 miles warranty.
the cd player will probably have to be changed. you can try pulling the fuse to the radio. maybe it will reset and work properly. the only downside is it may have a security code that needs to be input to work again. sometimes they write it on a card or in the owners manual.

good luck.
