SOURCE: 2002 sequioa sudden stall

Often when the battery is disconnected or replaced the computer will lose it's learned idle settings. You could try letting the engine idle in park until the engine temperature comes up to normal and leave it like that for a few minutes, then put the Air con on and let it idle again for a few minutes, then switch the air con off and put it into drive. If it does not stall, let it idle in drive for 2 minutes or so, and then do the same with the Air con on. This should relearn the base idle settings and stop it from stalling on you. Before you carry out this procedure you should make sure that when you replaced the battery you didn't remove any other plugs or knocked anything that may be causing the fault. If you try this procedure and it still stall when you select drive, you will need to get a Mechanic to check the vehicle over.

Hope this helps,
Mark.

Not sure what is causing it, but it sounds like you're running on 3 cyllinders. Check plugs, wires, timing . timing belt may have jumped, bad injector, low fuel pressure.

SOURCE: driving and car died and now wont start it has power and turns over just wont start

You need to isolate the problem. If it starts when you spray carb cleaner into the throttle body while cranking then problem is in fuel system.(pump, pump relay, filter or fuse) If not, then look into ignition system. Use any manual to get specific testing instructions and do not buy anything till you verify by testing that you really need that part or it can get unnecessarily expensive.
If you need more info on anything, just ask, but at the point you are at, careful testing will tell you far more than anyone here can tell you.

89 Toyota Camry le- car starts but no power to anytime?

The power locks and horn should work even if your car is off. Check the biggest fuse you have. It should be 80-100 Amp fuse coming from your alternator.

1988 Chevrolet Beretta. It suddenly lost power about 60 mph. No gas pedal at all decreased speed and about 20 mph it ran fine, runs good at dead stop.

I really need to know what size engine you have in your Beretta as well as how many gears are on the shifter as in low one low two Drive with a circle around it or one two three drive with a circle around it sounds to me like a torque converter pressure switch when vehicle is shifting into overdrive switch is not operating correctly releasing pressure from torque converter causing vehicle not to have enough counterweight for transmission until vehicle slows down and then will operate again shifting through gears until the Overdrive goes to kick in send more info

2002 ford explorer 4.0 4x4 driving 75 mph cruise control on then all of a sudden lost of power can't make 20 mph

First check the fuel pressure. Should be around 60 psi. If that is ok check to make sure something did not restrict the exhaust system. Check for engine and transmission codes for clues.

Complete Electrical failure. fuses and battery good?

Sounds more like you have a bad alternator that is unable to keep the battery charged. Once the battery dies while driving, the spark plugs will no longer be able to ignite and the fuel won't burn, causing your engine to shut off. Some cars have a fuseable link between the battery and alternator that will burn out, or partially burn out causing the same symptoms and is a lot cheaper to replace. Check that first.

Something is draining the battery on my 2000 Jeep Wrangler. We have a new battery, alternator checked okay, new starter. The jeep starts, lights come on, and then will die while driving. What could be...

Put a volt meter across the battery terminals while the vehicle is running. You should read no less than 12.5 volts at idle with no accessories running and no less than that with accessories all on. Normal volts should be around 13.5. Aside from slight fluctuations, the voltage reading should not steadily drop, regardless of how long it is running. I doubt if you have a system drain if it's shutting down while driving...the alternator would compensate for that. Some charging systems incorporate the voltage regulator into the computer. If the alternator checked good by itself but the tests I recommended show otherwise, likely your problem is with the computer.
If the engine does not need to be jump started after it shuts off, you may be looking entirely in the wrong place...but you didn't mention that part!!

Lost all electrical power while driving?

Sounds like a poor connection from either the positive or ground from the battery. Check connections at the battery, follow the cables to see if any other connections are loose.
