My mechanic disconnected the security section because my key I use to start the car had the security spot on the key was loose and would not work in the ignition It was going to cost a lot for a new set of keys so he took the security section out for a lot less. As he said an older car does not need security.

SOURCE: 2001 ford taurus wont start and anti-theft light is blinking

Either you may be using a key that you had copied from the original or your chip went bad in your original key. Most of cars now a days have the key censor in the key so if it is the incorrect key it will not start your car or if it does not read that chip it will not start

SOURCE: how do you reset the anti theft system

Try disconnecting your battery cables then wait about 10 minutes. The computer should reset itself. Reconnect the wires to the battery. It is normal for the theft light to blink about every 5 seconds when the ignition key is out or in the off position. This means the system is armed and working properly. Hope this helps. God bless!

How can I start my 2009 Ford focus and bypass the anti theft?

Messing around with Anti theft systems is i VERY bad idea!! These systems are VERY difficult to bypass as they are linked to a lot of the electronics in the vehicle. It would be easier, quicker and Cheaper to find out why the security system has activated. Get a Good auto electrician to scan the OBD2 system for Trouble Codes. These will give you clues as to what and where the problem is.
Asked 3 or 4 companies for prices as they can be VERY different.

Where is the pats override button located? specific under dash location. 2002 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD

There is no PATS override button. PATS is Passive Anti-Theft System. It is a transponder chip in the key, and a transceiver ring around the ignition lock cylinder. The Ring looks for the correct chip in a key in order to allow the vehicle to start. A bypass or override button in the vehicle completely advantage of having the chip system and would render is useless in entirety.

2002. Why has anti lock cut off ignition and fuel?

Anti THEFT cuts off fuel pump and the ignition module. That is what it is for. The theft light on the dash should be on too. Something tripped the anti-theft system Try resetting the anti-theft module by locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key.
