Check engine light on ? The coolant temp sensor is a input to the PCM - engine computer ! All wires come from an go to the PCM . What type of problem are you having ? Maybe able to save you some aggravation an time chasing gremlins . Coolant gauge not working ?
Engine Coolant Temperature Gage
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the engine coolant temperature as determined by the powertrain control module (PCM) or the engine control module (ECM). The IPC receives a serial data message from the PCM/ECM indicating the engine coolant temperature. The engine coolant temperature gage defaults to 100°F (38°C) if there is a malfunction in the engine coolant temperature sensor or the IPC detects a loss of serial data communication with the PCM/ECM.

But if you insist ,you can find free wiring diagram's here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine ! Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on fuel controls . Click the search button then the blue link. The second an third diagrams both show coolant temp sensors . Both go to the PCM .

Testimonial: "The issue is the wire to the sensor in the rear was cut somehow. the single wire coming out of the sensor is blue. I found another cut wire in close proximity, however this wire is green. I'm wondering if someone rigged something together and these two wires were connected? I was looking for a wire diagram complete with the colors of the wires. I need to find out where these wire go/connect."

Does your temp gauge work ? Maybe they tried to hook-up external gauge.

Leak in hose coming off of fire wall in pontiac grand prix gtp 2004

If the leak is water, this is a heater hose and is really easy to replace. If this is not water or coolant, tell me what kind of fluid is leaking from the hose and I will help you identify what you need.

How do you replace a crank position sensor in a 2004 Grand Prix GTP?

series III 3800 engine, you have to get a harmonic balancer puller (can rent from autozone)
remove the balancer and you will be able to get at the crank position sensor.
while you are replacing, check the wires and make sure the insulation is in good shape and not showing bare wire.

I want to install a GFORCE chip. I have a 2004 Pontiac G-Prix GTP. The MAF/IAT plug has 6 wires. Which 2 go to the sensor? Color on wires is good so color code no problem. Thanks, JOE

This will not work.

There are no electronic chips in existence that are designed for use with any model of GTP.

If you would like to work with electronics only for performance changes you need to either reprogram your PCM yourself or purchase one that is pre-programmed to be compatible with your GTP.

However, the good news is that you still have a few options, depending of course on the current set up of your GTP.

Regarding that I highly recommend that the only source you visit is http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products.php?id=107

My 2004 gran prix (gtp) just hit 100000 miles. What maintenance needs to be done now?

Spark plugs, transmission fluid and coolant change, supercharger oil, air filter, fuel filter, tires, brakes, engine mounts, BTSI inspection and power steering fluid. Also inspect the belts, hoses, pulleys and look for wiring damage.
