Hi,

Please follow the steps to change the fuel filter. You would need to remove the left rear seat (four 14mm bolts). I think you'll need to finish cutting through the tabs on the carpet to be able to lift up the carpet. Then remove the access cover. You can then remove the fuel pump from the top of the tank.

Where is the trans filter located on my 2WD 04 hyundai santa fe?

The 2004 Santa Fe transmission doesn't have a serviceable filter. There's one deep inside the transmission, but the transmission needs to be removed and disassembled to get to it. The only time that filter would be replaced is if the transmission were overhauled. This is the answer I found online, and after trying to change the filter on a 2002 Santa Fe.

How can I change the fuel filter in my Hyundai Santa Fe 2004?

You simply locate where it's installed. Loosen and remove fuel hose clamps first. Plug any fuel hose ends with bolts of appropriate sizes. Remove the bolts and nuts holding the filter to the engine.
Replace filter with new one, and bolt to the frame. Connect back the hoses. Hint: its good practice to disconnect the negative post of the battery before starting this job.
