2003 Suzuki XL7, HVAC system issue. Temp control doesn't work correctly. Replaced blender motor but the temp adjustment control only moves the blender motor when all the way cold or all the way hot

The system is automatic climate control, acts like it needs calibrated to recognize the full sweep of control. the clock/temp light blink like maybe DTC needs reset but my innova wont do HVAC codes.

SOURCE: how do I reset the

The answer to the suzuki guys questions. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time on your little clicker that arms the car. The blinker lights should both come on at the same time and the car should honk to. This should reset the tpms.

SOURCE: Fully warmed up; blowing hot and cold; Suzuki XL-7

Its just a vent damper plate not operating, it's like a gate which controls the flow of air,,usually they are operated by vacuum, or cables.
Service center time, unless you are handy with your own repairs.

SOURCE: Suzuki 2004 XL7 airbag light on and clock flashes

My suggestion is to take the vehicle to the franchised Dealer where they will have the proper test equipment to identify the fault. I understand your concern about keeping the costs down and so what I’d do is telephone at least two Suzuki Dealers and ask them for a cost to diagnose the problem – you might wish to say to them that you have a fixed budget of say $100. At least this way you can be told what the problem is and what the rectification cost is likely to be. At that point you can choose to either proceed with the work or not. Hope this helps, Scottech

What caused heat to stop working?

same answer on all cars. nice photo, so rare here, shocking that.
in order,......
1: sure the blower must blow.
2: the engine must get to min. 180F , if not, thermostat bad in engine.
3: ok, engine is hot, so the heater core must get hot next. it has 2 hoses, we feel them with hands, are both hot?, yes, then the core is most-likely hot. (inside) (if not core is packed in gunk inside)
ever do 2year cooling flushes< (oops. zero service lands you here)
4: the controls must open the dampers, if not? bad controls
5: if the controls work and dampers fail, then the dampers are bad.

all answers assumes , cooling system full to top of RAD.
your car uses 3 damper motors. (electric)
that operate them by controls
the motor for temp is called temperature actuator motor.
the controller is called HVAC controller
did you scan the PLC to see if HVAC controller has errors.
the controller needs fuse 15 good. Cab fuse box ."hvac-rfa"
the controller use a network, data comm .
if you scan the PCM and it tells you the HVac comms are dead
what do you know? (means you cant fix it)
its not just a simple switch like in 1990 (gone)
its all computer controlled now.

26094348-k5quzreiqde4k1egefe3gt0o-2-0.jpg
check fuse first
scan 2nd.
like we do on all modern cars, or , its all just a guessing game.

Where is the heater blend door actuator on 2007 Suzuki xl7? I am getting cold air when the heat is on

front or rear, the rear is a complex option.
in the heater box.
the 2007 FSM covers this best, all the tests and all steps to service.
10 tests there,
blend door, is that the recirc door? or temperature.
step 5 shows recir, checks.

the 07 automatic HVAC options, has 5 motors,
2 motors in rear, heat and mode
3 in the front, mode, Circ, and temp.

if the doors mess up, its caused by the door (damper jam)
motor jam, or controls ( no need to mention wires or connectors, as that is always true, for electrics)
its a complex system very much like on new honda's
id not attempt to work on it with out the FSM
or a subscription to alldata.com or mitchels.

its not a simple cable system like the old Suzukis/ at all.

Chevy TrailBlazer heat won't shut off

most gm cars use electrily controled temp actuator door on top of center of heater case . if move the temp lever to hot or cold you should see the door arm move sometimes the arm will move but the door dosent there is three wires too the motor one 12 volt one ground and one return to the hvac modle head controls there are different colors for the return wire.basically you can un hook the arm and move it manunlly to see if it makes a difference at the vent while the ac system is on.the way test for the problem is to check the voltage on the return wire at the motor and ground with a dvm meter you should see a vary voltage when slide temp controls from hot to cold . more than likey it is hvac control head but check first they are costly.

2000 ford windstar heater blowing cool air

Hi, You may have an air lock in the system. Have you ever had the system flushed out? This might be the fix. Also the thermostat might need to be replaced. You didn't say if you hear the clicking noise. If you do hear the clicking noise when you adjust the tempture control then its back to the replacement of the blender motor box with broken gears.
Hope this helps Warren
