My brother-in-law has the truck and was pulled over for having tail lights out. He says the lights flicker and so do the dash lights. Since he doesn't have a computer I've been researching to find a wiring diagram for his 95 pick up. Would you have any idea what might be causing the problems - a faulty ground wire. He says no other electrical system is affected. Where can I find a free wiring diagram?
Like all imports wiring was marginal and prone to failure. Check and clean all ground wires. Especially the one that connects the bed to the chassis. If one is not present, install one. Also remove the taillights and clean the contacts, then add a die-electric grease to prevent additional corrosion. Go to the local autoparts store or good central library for additional information on your truck.
take the upper and lower colum covers off. take the 2 screws out that retain the head light-combi switch. remove the clearish cover that covers the contact bars on the switch. There are 5 bars. clean the center bar contact with dental pick and bend bar tighter slightly, not too much. spray with contact cleaner. your done. flag 1 hr.
