Having trouble locating fuse boxes or OBD port in your Volvo C30, S40, V50 or C70? Check out our quick tutorial about cabin and engine bay fuse boxes. Also on-board diagnostics port.
Going from memory, open the driver side door and open the lid on the end of the dash. The inside of the lid has the layout of the fuses so you'll know which one it is.
If that's not the case, then there's a fuse box under the hood on the driver side. There should be a large red cable going into it - inside of the lid will have the layout and tell you which fuse is which.
Generally the under-hood fuse box has the larger fuses and relays for horns and fog lights, and the smaller box in the car is for instrument lights and other stuff inside the car.
If you are talking about the blower motor fan, inside the car, look for a blown fuse,or a bad fan relay. The blower motor relay could be mounted near the blower motor,or in the relay box, look for the lables to guide you to it.If the relay, and the fan are fine, then replace the blower motor.
i have a 98 s40. The fuses can be found internal (under the dashboard near the bonnethandle). Inside it you can find the fuse clamp and extra fuses. These can also be used for the external fusebox under the bonnet. I have found the fuse that might be broken, but i can't replace it because it has some extra casing. It's for internal lights and the alarm.
