Coil packs are replaceable.
Locally, here in Florida, they cost over $ 100 each at a repair shop.
On the computer ( like Amazon or e-bay) same make, year, model coils go for $ 20 +/-.
God bless your efforts.

I have a 2005 Grand caravan 3.3 with 236.000 miles it came up with a code P2308 ignition coil C secondary circuit ? No spark to cylinder 6 & 3 ?

No cylinders fire at same time. 6 & 3 must be from same coil-ignition coil C-that is the one with the problem. And the secondary circuit- that is the spark firing portion of the coil. Coils have a primary winding circuit and a secondary wire winding circuit. The secondary comes out of coil as the tower, or the spark plug wire tower -the business end of the coil leading to the plug.

You could have a bad new coil (happens occasionally) or the connection to that coil may be the problem-the connection where the coil snaps onto the coil pack assembly. Try swapping that coil (coil C) with another one there and see if problem follows the coil. See? Keep your plug wires the same, just swap coils with another and see if the new position for suspect coil causes other cylinders to misfire. If a different coil in that "C" position causes same code, then it is not the coil itself, but probably the base assembly that the coil connects to.

These ignition systems use what is called a waste spark, or exhaust waste spark system. The coil will send spark to 6 & 3 simultaneously, but since one is always on the exhaust stroke while the other is on the compression (firing) stroke, the exhaust spark is very weak, and all the energy from coil is directed to the compression stroke cylinder. It sounds crazy but it works great.

Since you say it runs bad just as before, that indicates the coil is not the problem, but something wrong with the base of the coil pack . This is where the wiring is directed to the coils.

On a 2006 Dodge Gran Caravan 3.8, I have no spark on #6 contact on coil pack, when pulling of the boot. Do coil packs go bad? Any other possibilities?

My thinking is, if all the other cylinders have spark, the coil pack is faulty. I'd also change spark plugs and plug wires. Check good primary voltage to coil pack. I didn't think to look for dedicated ground, but, check that also, where applicable.

I have a code P 2308 on the Dodge grand Caravan three and six has no spark I change a coil pack and same problem

You didn't say year or engine. I worked on a 3.3l from the 90s. The coil pack is three separate coils and plugs 3 and 6 are one coil being no spark on rather plug. Most likely no signal coming in for that coil. The code is for the secondary circuit for that coil. It should be a pulsating signal

Diognostic says #6 cyl has misfired. is this a coil problem or just a plug or wire

good question, most likly a spark plug or wire. but it might be a coil , to test it remove the plug wire from the coil and crank the engine there should be a good strong splrk if there is replace the plug and wire if not replace the coil.

Want to change spark plugs on 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan...located them, but there seems to be a plastic cover over them that I have to remove first? Manual does not describe this....there appear to be two...

Not sure exactly what they are but my guess would be the coil packs. Take these off and pull the boots up and then you can access your plugs. They will come off try twisting them free and pulling up as over time they can get stuck to the plug. I would also recommend changing the rubber boots also.

2006 dodge caravan, 6 cyl. relaced cole, sparkepugs and wires in oct. 2009. Engine is reading #2 cyl. misfire again. Why

Firts time swap spark plug & ignition coil between two different cylinders and read again if the same #2 cyl. misfires !
If #2 cyl. is OK and another cyl. misfires then spark plug or ignition coil is out of order and must be replaced.
If #2 cyl. misfires again then #2 injector must be checked !
If ignition coils & spark plugs (complete set for 6 cyl.) are replaced then you must check #2 injector !
