SOURCE: how do you adjust the brake rod on drum power
First did you replace the master cylinder? If you did you should have adjusted the rod so that you have 1-inch free play at the pedal before installing. You would normally back off the nut just enough to get it loose then install the new one. For the drums you adjust the brake drum tensioned to the point that with two lug nuts holding the drum in place it slightly drags and that would be adjusted threw the brake drum adjustment hole. If you have one to tight it will cause the master cylinder to get hot so jack it up off of the wheels and see if you have one wheel that won't turn freely if you do that’s the one you got to loosen up.

There is no adjustment to the rod between the brake rod and the booster on a S80. If you are having brake light problems the first place to look is in the trunk for a bad fuse in the rear electrical module behind the cover on the left side.

If you have bleed the entire brake system, your most likely problem is the master cylinder.

SOURCE: Brake Master Cylinder Push Rod Clearance
I'm not familiar with the Saturn but the Dodge has an adjuster on the end of the push-rod and if that's the case with the saturn a small tool can be bought that measures the clearance. PN: CP 2003. Try kttp://www.jegs.com/l
