I have a 2002 volvo s80 it is turning over but does not start. It gives me a code of p0340. So i put a new one in but it still the same

Are the plugs actually sparking? Do you have fuel to fuel rail? If so, are the injectors pulsing? Are there any codes in the ECM? Have you scanned them? To you have power to the fuel pump? There is really no way to answer your question over the internet.

parts tore can say for sure but its usually in pints..4 pints to a quart..so 16 pints is 4 qts most take 6 qts or 24 pints..just to give you an idea..put 2/3rd of it in and start the car fill to level according to the stick.

put the car on the lift. look under the passenger side floor ares near to the fire wall there should be a little small tube. take a piece of wire and put it through do it a few times the water will start coming out ypu can also use air blower

the 2002 s80 did have a problem with the cluster. I have one and I love the car. I went on ebay and found the correct cluster to fix the problem. If the displays are going off and on, replacement is the only fix. The 3 sets of numbers on your "new" cluster must be an EXACT match with the old clusters numbers. In other words, the cluster must be for a 2002 volvo. If the numbers match, it doesn't matter what model the donor cluster came from.

The exact same set of codes have just come up on my car, the same car and year. Did you solve it? I am thinking cleaning the throttle body first, any help appreciated....

Weell it sounds like you have the days old problem Pepole dont know how to look after there cars.
The muck you still have in the engine isent doing it any good and so you have to get rid of it all, as its in the engine block and is got to go ,,so drain a little of water out and put in 1/2 a cup of washing up liquid in the radiator and start the engine and let it get hot and take the reves up to 1000 rpm now and then to keep the water going around the system, after about 1/4 hr turn off,,stand for 10 minutes ,,and then remove the cap slowly and then take off the Bottom hose and let all water out also take off Top hose at the engine end and put the house water hose in the top and turn it on till all water comes out clean. Then put hose up into the bottom hose and do the same again ,and the same in top again.Now with a clean engine you can do the same to the new Radiator and wash out all gunk .then check the thermostat and make sure its 100% (any doubt through it out) and take note how it comes out so you can fit a new one the same way,
Now refit both hoses and fill with coolant or antifreeze and TURN on the heater to hot before starting as you also have to get out the air from heater when it was drained and you will trap the air which might cause you code problems..
But now try service light reset
1,,Turn Ignition to Number 1position.
2,,Press and hold "day counter"reset button and turn
ignition to II(second) position,hold down for about 12 seconds.
3,,Afterservice light flashes,release button,there should be 2 beeps confirming reset was successful.

There are a several items that can turn the light on. The list is too long to put here. Go by your local Autozone and they will read the emission codes and tell you what they are for free. Return here and post the codes and let's see what we can narrow it down to.

Change the fuel filter. If pump is new, and you are not leaking gas from lines, than either the filter is clogged, injector stuck open

Check the codes, if there is a misfire it may tell you which cylinder(s) is misfiring. The coils fail, and make sure to use Volvo spark plugs!

If you have a non-turbo model, then it's probably something else. It may be a bad turbo overboost switch. My S80 is non-turbo but I had an overboost switch go out on my Mercedes and it shut down the turbo but I had the same error message. Good luck!
