Lights up orange always in neautral
SOURCE: reverse lights don't work
simple thing first... make sure the bulbs are not burnt out... check the fuse.... then there is a sensor/switch located either on the steering colunm or on the transmission. quick test... put it in reverse and jiggle the shifter... if they come on that takes care of the first two issues....

Hi,
Your brief description doesn't state whether auto/manual? I would be looking at the reverse light switch on the gearbox.
Take the clip off and bridge the connection with a paper clip or similar, keep it away from the vehicle as you will blow a fuse, turn ignition on and bingo, hopefully Blackpool illuminations back of your 240?
Good Luck!
Please remember to rate my effort.

Check instrument panel fuse first. It would be labled on the fuse door or in manual. If not blown i would suspect the dimmer switch. There are to many bulbs in a instrument panel for them all to blow at one time.

Sounds like a linkage/cable to me. Disconnect the linkage at the transmission and move the shift actuator by hand to see if there is the same things happening. Don't try to do this with the engine running unless someone is holding the brake inside the car.

You must get the error code read for the check engine light in order to get helped here. Bring your vehicle to a local autozone to have your vehicles computer scanned, its free or local shop (most charge for this). Post the codes on fixya for further assistance.
