SOURCE: VW Polo Classic, fuel efficiency problem
Has the car been serviced recently?
If not I would suggest getting it done. Not sure if you have diesel or petrol, but oil can thicken causing more load on the motor and airfilters get blocked and can cause a rich fuel mixture.
If petrol you can take out the plugs to check if they are a light brown colour, if very dark or black you need to check and adjust carb/injection settings/filter.Need to know what engine it is really.

90 is the correct temp for this engine,if it goes right down then consider the thermostat faulty.if it goes higher...... (dont even think about overheating)YET.
SOURCE: I'm having a problem with
it could be that the brake caliper on the left hand side is sticking, jack the front of the vehicle up & spin the front wheels by hand & see if one is harder to turn than the other , if they are both the same then it isn't the caliper, check that both tyres are the same brand & tread pattern, this can sometimes make a difference, also tyre pressure, it could also be one of the rear wheels causing the problem, you need to check them to, if all these things are OK you may have to take the vehicle to ma front end specialist to see if they can solve the problem......hope this helps......cheers.

this model has a coil bolted to the firewall and within this coil is a ignition module built in and i suspect this coil has broke down and this is causing your problem
