Just got car 1999 Saab 9-5 SE auto back from mechanic and notice two holes in the carpet up behind the accelerator and above the footrest and can see some sort of engine parts. Do you know what it is.

I think there should be some covers that they've forgot to put on? Can't find any pics on the web.

I dont have idea where air filter is?

Maybe, as on my1999 Saab 9-5 V6 3.0t SE sedan, it's behind the passenger's side front wing, before the wheel...Black plastic cover retained by 4 screws... fast and easy to do, all you need is a torx screwdriver...and to lift the car securely.

Hope it help, even if my english isn't terrible.

Saab 93 convertible 1999, how do you refill hydraulic roof

To check the oil level open the boot - at the very back remove the 4 plastic clips that hold the carpet in place. Slightly to the left of the center there are 2 holes - shine a light in the bottom and look through the top one to check the level.
To add oil - fold down the seat backrest. Remove the plastic trim - held on by 4 screws and 2 pop out plastic cllips. Undo the 8 large bolts that hold the cover in place - 2 on top and 3 on front and back. Then lift up the cover from the front edge. You will then be able to get to the resevoir - you will need a funnel to poor fluid in.

1991 SAAB 9-3 - key goes in igntiion but will not turn, can't get out of gear

there may be a mechanical back up system to temporaily bypass the electrical circuit. Look in your owner manual. Some have a small hole in the shift console to insert a pin the depress the release for the shift interlock.
