You fixed the symptom but not the cause
take it to an accredited auto electrician and have the charge circuit tested , including the voltage regulator

2006 crysler sebring wont star but head lights and interiorior lights come on but the radio doesnt!anybody have any idea

First check your battery. If it is not fully charged then you need to give it a full charge and then have it checked to see if it is good. If the battery is bad that is your problem. If it fully charges and tests good then it is most likely your alternator. If that checks out then I would check the starter......unless it is turning over ok.

Alternator bad know

Take the car to a local Autozone and have the Alternator tested, it is free. Also when the "Battery" light comes on it doesn't mean there is a problem with the battery persay it means the battery is not getting charged up while you drive.

1998 sebring v6 2.5 convertible

Auto Zone does not test the alternator under full load so the test result could be borderline.
start the car and turn everything on. If the voltage drops lower than 14.2
replace the alternator.
also the battery could be being drained overnight. to check use a test light by removing a battery terminal and connecting light between battery and cable with car off.
if it lights start be removing fuses.
when the light goes off the problem is with this circuit.
lastly if the light stays on take the wires off the alternator.
if the light goes out replace alternator.

My Car shut off, I found out it was the

ABS is Advanced Brake Systems, but that light should flash once when the car is turned on to signal it works.
If you turn the key in the ignition forward, like you are going to turn it on, but not far enough to turn the engine over, that light should be on at a constant. with it turning itself off upon starting.
If you have a no start issue, it would have the same effect. But if it is a no start, it's not going to be a dead battery, the battery puts out enough charge to turn the engine over (on), and the alternator runs everything.
Alternators run off the belt(s) on the engine and need exact tension, in order to produce the proper amount of power.
