not neccessarly true there could be several reasons for the a/c clutch not to ingage. 1 the clutch relay is bad(it is located in the junction box under the hood, switch it with the heater relay if it kicks on the relay was bad) 2 the system is under charged(the binary switch will sense this and keep the compressor off) 3 a blown fuse fore the climate control(the fuse is located in the panel under the dash on the drivers side) there is a blockage in the system(this will cause the high side pressure to rise to a point where the high pressure switch cuts the circuit. My suggestion is to first check that the wire going to the a/c clutch is not coroded or broken. then check the relay, then have the system recharged provided that there are no leaks. if the guages when hooked up initially show that the low side pressure is 35 psi and the high side is 130-150 psi then you know it was an electrical problem. if those are not the pressure it could be a blockage (most likely in the drier) or the expansion valve is bad( this regulateds the system. hope these options are of help to you good luck and please rate this thanks

sounds like your switch contacts are shorted closed.. try disconnecting the switch for inspection and use a volt ohm meter to inspect switch across contacts...
Testimonial: "At first the blower stop working. When I ran a separate ground directly to the fan motor it worked but then I found out I had no control. "

There is a switch mounted on the arm of the brake pedal (under a plastic cover held on with 3 plastic push-pins). There is an electical connection attached to this switch. In my case one of the wires had broken and was not supplying electricity to the switch. By fixing the broken wire it allowed the shifter to properly move and got the brake lights working again.

this only occured when the ambient light sensor turned on the headlights when it got to dark. if that is happening then check the headlight switch, the one that also dims the interior lights. mine had a burnt connector and fried the circuit board. replaced it and it works good. check for lose wires and connectors in there as well which likely caused the short.
