The stored faults will need erasing with suitable diagnostic equipment then if everything is ok the light will behave normally.

Where are the locations of the crash sensors on a 2008 Ford Ranger?

It is typically the job of the airbag module to sense when the vehicle is decelerating beyond the normal rate, and to deploy the airbags.
If the module has suffered excessive corrosion, then this would typically mean that there is water ingress into the interior compartment. Have you also checked the condition of the wiring connectors and looms?

I have a code that show on CARMD about the srs light (airbag) on my dash , how do I reset or shut it off without changing an airbag

Hi there:The Restraints Control Module (RCM / located behind right side of the instrument panel) monitors the resistance of the driver side air bag circuit loop and the air bag module igniter at RCM, if the resistance is greater than 3.6 ohms, the RCM will store diagnostic trouble code B1994 and flash lamp fault code.
About the possible causes, pay attention that a high resistance on the driver side air bag circuit can be caused by:
  • - damaged wiring on circuit 1257 (WH/LB).
  • - damaged wiring on circuit 1258 (BN/LB)
  • - damaged driver side air bag module.
  • - damaged RCM.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

HOW DO I RESET AIRBAGS SINCE 2003 RR LAND ROVER SAT AND AIR BAGS ON RIGHT SIDE WENT DOWN AND NOW WILL NOT COME UP AND ERROR MESSAGE ON DASH

you've got to check all the connections and wiring to all of the bags and the module. the module may need to be replaced if the airbags went off. and you'd need to bring it into the dealership to have them program the replacement module.
