SOURCE: 94 dodge grand caravan no fuel in fuel rail

Dear Ron, you have replaced fuel pump and fuel filter. You have checked the fuel pump relay. Still no fuel in rail. Try bypassing fuel relay with jumper from batt to fuel pump. If o/k then check computer for ground to relay. This system uses a relay that is operated by the computer that supplies a ground for the relay to operate. The wire color is green,16 gage. If the ground is not available then "no fuel" Check this with a test light. Key on and crank apply test light to ground wire and other end of light to ground. You should hear relay click and get fuel. If this checks out you will need to replace computer or get creative with rewiring the relay so it works without computer input. Good luck Moe

SOURCE: re: 1993 Dodge Dakota, where might I find the fuel

  • You have an Automatic Shut Down Relay or "ASD Relay" not so much a "switch." The ASD relay inside the power distribution center which is under the hood on the left corner of the engine compartment. Under the lid is a legend that will pinpoint it's location in said box. I would look at this if your having problems with the fuel pump. Should you need to replace the pump the tank must be dropped for this vehicle.

My 2000 dodge grand caravan won't fire. Do I have a fuel pump reset, and where

There is no fuel reset button. If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure, Also, check fuel injector pulse. Are there any applicable trouble codes?

Is there a reset button for fuel pump on a 1994 dodge caravan and where is it

Tammy, 1994 Dodge Caravan does not have fuel reset button. Does have pump fuse/relay, filter, pump, injectors, computer, etc.
Take into a good shop and have trouble codes checked, diagnosed and estimate on repair.

2001 dodge caravan's engine light just came on, but it has been shutting off every 5 seconds when pumping the fuel. Changing position of pump doesn't seem to make a difference. Any ideas?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Since your check engine light is on, you need to try and get a code off your computer. It may show what the problem is. Have you checked your fuel pump fusr/relay or reset button, if equipped?

94 dodge caravan... fuel ran low turned off engine, won,t restart

did your vehichle completely run out of gas , if so after adding gas , it will take a short while for pump to pump gas to engine, also if you have a owners manual, look in it and look under fuel, to see if it show s a fuel reset button, if so, you will have to push the reset button to reactivate the fuel pump. sometimes , they are loacated at the right or left rear in side, or under the the right side of instrument panel.
