Replace! The repair cost is probably more than replacing it with a decent JVC, Pioneer or Clarion unit - and you can get a DVD player as well to keep the kids occupied ;-)

I am having the same problem with my CD changer in a 2004 Suburban. Have you found a solution yet? Chevy dealership told me that I would have to replace the radio.

On the radio there is a band selection button. press that until you see RSE. That is theposition for the player.

First try getting a boost. It could be just a low battery. The starter takes much more power than everything else together. If you have already tried that, or it doesn't help, try shorting out the starter with a screwdriver. If it works , your ignition switch could be faulty, or the neutral switch for the shiter.

According with the manual, the underhood fuse block in the engine compartment on the driver's side of the vehicle near the battery. Lift the cover for access to the fuse/relay block. To remove fuses, hold the end of the fuse between your thumb and index finger and pull straight out. See Engine Compartment Overview on page 5-12 for more information on its location. Keep in mind that in this location have other HDLP relays.
