I have a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country that had a REN radio in it and I replaced it with a RER and now it won't power up. hit eject and screen slides down and back up, then powers down.

I used all factory harness's. I was told it should be a plug and play. I am getting power, radio just won't come on. Does it have to be programed by a dealer ?

did the head unit come with a code ?
the seller should have let you
may need the code or diagnostic scanner
if not
should plug and play without a care

by the function button behavior ... it sort of says the wiring connection is all messed up to the function keys to the new unit to the car

You can check the fuses, but you really need an auto electrician. Their pro grade scan tool computer will diagnose the issue.
