You probably have some big problems. The flashing D light mean a fault was detected, usually in the transmission. You are supposed to stop driving it immediately. You will have to get it towed to a dealer and have them pull the code.

Sounds like tranny froze up. Not what you wanted to hear, but the shop that put the tranny in should have given you a warranty. The lights came on, because the engine stalled. Please rate me if you find this helpful, thank you.

you have to bleed the system...might have air trapped inside...jack up the front end off the ground (both wheels) and turn wheel side to side a couple of times, this may rid the trapped air..then recheck level, turn wheel side to side when on ground to see if its better, add more fluid if needed, and repeat...sometimes just driving the car for a few days might also work out the air...but that a long shot!
