What socket size is the head bolts on the delta 2.7L in the 2004Tiburon GT

Hi take a six point socket that is smaller than the bolt and a extension and drive the socket on the bolt becarefull not to break the bolt off in the head stripping the head of the bolt sound to me like the bolt is frozen so becareful spray it with w-d 40 before you drive the socket on

or i can't find a socket tool to fit the one there, metric head size?
you said one is 14mm well that is not the bolt size, its the head socket size.
so i guess your socket set is missing all the other sizes?
10 to 22mm?
what we do is try all metric sockets if stumped.,
it will be one of those.

They are reverse TORX. Unsure of size, but standard small set will have right size.

Special tool like Torx key. Use the ones that can be inserted into a size 10mm bolt socket. I think it's size T50.

I'm thinking here that the head of the bolts is not very thick in which case the socket you are using will need some modification. If you look in the socket you will see that there is a small lead in relief and this will only allow the socket to full engage on 1/2 of the bolt head. Place the socket in a vice and use a grinder to grind of the face of the socket until the sides are square across. This will give full contact with the bolt head inside the socket.. Another point, it is unusual to find metric bolts in a USA made engine so check out the other size metric sockets as European metric use 9-11-13-15-16-18-20 mm sizes compared to Asian 10-12-14-17-19-21 mm. in auto production.

No book will tell you that, not even the factory service manual. It would give bolt specs, but not the size of the bolt head itself.

It's metric of course, usually between 17-21 mm socket for those bolts. You will just have to try a few to find the right socket.

Thread size is 8mm 10mm is the head size meaning you use a 10mm socket

13mm 12 point socket.

if you try too grind it youll probly damage the head, its prob a metric head on the bolt switch too an ameircan 12 scoket close too the same size you will have too drive it on with a hammer but it should do the trick

its a size 14 metric socket. but you have to use a 12 point one not the regular 6 point one
