SOURCE: Imobilising car alarm on Hyundai Getz

it may be worth while changing the battery in the remote as it takes more power to send the frequency to disarm than to illuminate the l.e.d.

SOURCE: Door locks don't work

Disassemble the paneling on left side ,under the steering wheel. Remove all screws and pull out the panel until you can you can reach behind it to remove the two Black Relays, on the side closest to Steering wheel. Remove the Relay covers, Clean the contacts with a 1/8 fine strip of 600 wet/dry sand paper. Only place the paper between the contacts, and pull out while holding slight pressure on the relay Armature. Turn over the sandpaper and repeat once again. Very gently press the TOP resting contact pad closer to the armature, to lessen the gap between the contact points, so the armature doesn't have to travel as far to reach the closed contact position. Repeat the above with the other2nd Relay. Replace the covers, reinstall the relays And test the Door locks prior to buttoning up the paneling. Note, a pair of long needle nosed pliers will help in removing the relays. Just Grip the relay and rock in Forward and Backward as you apply upward pressure.

2007 Hyundai Santa Fe.Fob didn't work. Got locksmith to open. Car won't start. Got new battery. Won't start alarm kept beeping fob wouldn't turn it off. Won't start. disconnected battery. ??

Fob didn't work so the alarm immobiliser was armed and active when the locksmith opened the car - with predictable results.

Fob still not working - broken or needs new battery. Have you fitted a new battery into the fob?

The alarm immobiliser will probably remain armed until the doors have been locked and then unlocked with the fob.

There is a small chance the system can be fooled into thinking it has been disarmed by disconnecting the battery (overnight if poss) and then with the door open and the ignition key in and turned on, when the battery is reconnected it might be possible to start the engine...

How do i completely remove the immobiliser in a 2000 lancer and replace with older non immobiliser type ignition

i think this would be an expensive excersise, try removing the fuse to the central locking , because if you change the immobiliser system you will loose the central/power locking any way, i don't know what problems your experiencing but i've done this on our hyundai coupe because of immobiliser problems and unlocking drivers door manually ie with the key has cured our problem ,worth a try i'd have thought

Hyundai getz central locking system noy

It sound like you might have to replace the lock motor on the drivers door, it is possible the power or ground wires might be damaged and need repaired. But your problem most likely lies inside of your drivers door.

2002 HYUNDAI SONATA. KEY FOBS WILL UNLOCK ALL

Replace the "lock" relay, found behind the fuse box. You have to stick your head where the gas pedal is, and look at the top end of the back of the fuse panel. There are 2 small square plastic boxes. Unplug them, spray them with electrical cleaning spray, and switch their spots. If everything works, there was some contact problem, if door will now lock but not unlock, one of the relays is bad. Part number "HMC DECO 95225 - 38300".
