1 first remove the tire only after blocking the car
2 remove the caliper and brakes
3 now you must remove the housing that holds the caliper
3 you will find two big bolts on the back side holding it on
4 look at the rotor to see if it is being held on by 1 or 2
4 phillups screws if so remove them
5 you are ready to remove the rotor some times they
5 will fight you so spray some w-d 40 or 556 lube on it
5 you might have to hit it on the back side to get it off
5 with a (SMALL) hammer they will brake its soft metal

How do I eplace the front rotors on a 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 4wd? Is there a special tool required to remove and replace the rotor and is there an adjustment needed inside the hub?

jack up the car, first break lugs, and remove tire. There are two bolts on the front back side, if it like are endeavor then I compressed the caliper piston and then I had to take apart the caliper as the old pads did not come out, those are the two bolts on each end. then put back on. Once the caliper is off the rotor will come off as it is held on by the caliper. Just be careful with the caliper once it is removed as it is a brake line, you can use a hanger for it does not pull on the line when it is off the rotor. Good Luck Tim

I am trying to take off the front passenger disc. Can't get it off

you would have to remove the caliper system and if its 4x4 you have to remove the 4-5 bolts that hold the 4x4 on .remove the metal cap that has a big nut i think a 22-24mm and take all this apart just for the rotor

How do i change the alternator on a 1998 mitsubishi montero sport

Disconnect the battery negative cable.
Remove 12mm (3) and 14mm (4) bolts holding skidplate on and remove skidplate
Loosen the 14mm nut on the tensioner, then unscrew the tensioner adjuster bolt until the belt can slide off.
Unplug the alternator electrical connector.
Unbolt the alternator cable lug (12mm or 13mm depending on alternator manufacturer)
Remove lower 12mm bolt
Remove upper 14mm pivot bolt
Use large screwdriver to pry alternator off bracket, it pinches on when the pivot bolt is tightened.
Drop alternator out bottom of engine bay; helps to unbolt or bend transmission cooler lines out of the way.
